About Us

What we do:

  • Partner with churches and organizations as a catalyst for fathering ministry.
  • Conduct workshops and facilitate small group studies to encourage and equip dads in their role as a father. Examples include:
    • "Gathering of Dads"
    • "A Dad's Presence"
    • "A Dad's Armor"
    • "A Dad's Role - Becoming Heroes"
    • "Dads of Destiny"
  • Conduct retreats to nurture deeper father/child relationships:
    • "Being There" father/child & father/teen weekend retreats
    • "Adventures for Life" father/son passage retreats
  • Speak publicly as an advocate for fathers and families.
  • Conduct "What My Dad Means to Me" student essay contests to sensitize communities to the important role of a dad in the lives of his children.
  • Develop and distribute "Devotions for Dads" as a practical tool for faithful fathers.
  • Reach out to dads through Public Service Announcements, talk show interviews, and "Tips for Dads" radio spots.

Thanks to many organizations, churches and individuals, the Faithful Fathering Initiative in Texas has been able to move forward with the mission we have been charged with - "to encourage and equip men in their role as a father, to become the true heroes of the next generation."  FFIT envisions an army of dads having a positive impact across our state - one family, one church, one community at a time.

What you can do:

  • Support FFIT each day with prayer.
  • Become involved in FFIT individually or by opening doors to your church or organization for a workshop, small group study or speaking engagement.
  • Support FFIT financially through donations, project sponsorship and/or in-kind support by contributing tickets for father/child activities and drawing items for various FFIT events.
  • FFIT is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation.
